on Foundations The Council on Foundations is a nonprofit membership
association of grant making foundations and corporations. Members of
the Council hold over $100 billion in assets.
Adobe
Philanthropy supports non-profit health and human service
organizations which: service disadvantaged youth, as well as the arts,
environmental organizations, educational programs and animal rights.
AT&T Foundation Gives
grants to "innovative programs that focus on helping people achieve
self-sufficiency and lead productive lives". Focus falls on four
program areas: education, arts & culture, health & human
services, and international aid.
Autodesk
Foundation develops strategies and model programs for improving
public schools and expanding educational opportunities beyond the walls
of the classroom.
Bankers
Trust Foundation Funds seven priority program areas for corporate
giving that are consistent with its corporate social responsibility
objectives: community development, education, arts & culture,
health and hospitals, the environment, international investment,
research, and emergency aid.
Ben and Jerry's
Foundation will fund grants to not-for-profit organizations
interested in social change in the following areas: children and
families, disenfranchised groups, the environment.
The Chalkboard is
a site sponsored by Dow Chemical, Clorox Co., Upjohn Pharmaceuticals
and Whirlpool. It provides resources for educators, especially in math
and science.
Digital
Equipment Foundation the company has focused its charitable
resources on investing in children and youth in three areas: education,
health, and community service & leadership. Digital also makes
equipment & technology grants to nonprofits.

a corporation, GTE is very concerned about America's ability to produce
a well-educated, highly productive workforce. Thus, GTE has committed
significant resources to improve education, with special emphasis on
mathematics and science.

Global SchoolNet Foundation a leader in the instructional
applications of telecommunications. Today the Global SchoolNet
Foundation is a major contributor to the philosophy, design, culture,
and content of educational networking on the Internet and in the K-12
classroom.
Gunk Foundation At the
present, the Foundation is concentrating on supporting two types of
projects--public arts projects (funded through The Gunk Foundation) and
scholarly/artistic publications (through Critical Press, the publishing
arm of the Foundation.)
Intel Corporation
focuses outreach and giving programs in the following areas: education,
learning, and technology literacy programs. Intel supports
schools--with special emphasis on math, science, and engineering
education. Intel is also interested of the promotion of females and
underrepresented minorities in math, science and engineering careers.
Lightworks Technology Foundation will match exceptional computer-related grant
requests to appropriate corporate and individual donors.

Foundation for...The Foundation does not offer conventional
research, fellowship, or travel grants...Innovative educational
programs dealing
with microbiological topics and making use of contemporary
communication techniques are a special focus of interest; also programs

Monsanto Supports science

education which seeks to encourage the use of new

Rural Datafication
Project is partially funded through a grant from the National
Science Foundation to bring the internet to rural and underserved
communities.
Russel Sage Foundation The
Russell Sage Foundation is dedicated "to strengthening the methods,
data, and theoretical core of the social sciences as a means of
improving social policies." It does this by conducting a Visiting
Scholars program and by funding studies by scholars at other academic
and research institutions.

Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization active in
educational support to countries in Eastern and Central Europe and
former Soviet Union. Sabre's activities include: book donation, library
support; Internet-based technical assistance and training and other
projects.
Wal-Mart provides funds
for community involvement through a matching grant process.
Wells
Fargo directs the bulk of its corporate giving to three areas:
community development, pre-K through
grade 12 education, with a focus on
math, literacy, and the history of the American West and human
services. Geographically, the company's grant making is concentrated
west of the Mississippi in the states of Arizona, California,
Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and
Washington.
DeWitt Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund The Fund's activities are designed to improve
services to children and youth in three areas: elementary and secondary
schools, youth-serving organizations, and school-community
collaboration.
Lila Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund The Fund's grant making activities,, support
leading nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, innovative adult
literacy programs, and urban parks programs that encourage community
involvement.
Westinghouse Foundation funds programs which emphasize science, math,
and engineering. In addition, grants to colleges, universities, and
education organizations provide scholarships and program support for
disadvantaged and gifted students, minorities, and women.
