Matthew Nickerson brings a variety of skills and talents to the classroom. He holds post secondary degrees in biochemistry, library science, and theater arts. After receiving an MFA in Acting Performance from the National Conservatory he worked professionally with the Denver Center Theatre Company and the Creede Repertory Theater. Before returning to academia, Professor Nickerson worked for Cobe Laboratories in Arvada, Colorado, developing new designs for heart/lung machines.  He is currently the Director of the Honors Program at Southern Utah University.  Areas of research interest include digital libraries, undergraduate research, and Victorian book design.
Prof. Nickerson is a professor of Library Science at S.U.U.  He personally designed and produced the entire Humanities 1010 web course.  Unlike many large GE and web-based classes Prof. Nickerson stays personally invovled with all aspects of this course.  Students will be able to communicate directly with Prof. Nickerson via e-mail.  If you have specific question regarding the course write to Prof. Nickerson at: nickerson@suu.edu
