LIBRARY MEDIA ENDORSEMENT
LIBRARY MEDIA MINOR

The Library Media Endorsement program provides the courses required for the Utah School Library Media License (K-12). The student must currently have, or be seeking, a valid Utah teaching license.

Requirements and Coursework

The undergraduate endorsement requires 18 credits and must be completed during the six years prior to application for license. Twelve credits must be taken through SUU.

Completion of the coursework and student teaching does not automatically guarantee a recommendation by the department for state endorsement in Library Media. To be recommended for licensure, a student must complete the program with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate competency in the coursework with potential to work effectively with both students and teachers. The student must also currently have a valid Utah teaching license before being awarded final endorsement in Library Media.
